A Christmas Wedding in a Real Medieval castle.

We love shooting at Borthwick Castle in Scotland. It’s the stuff castle wedding dreams are made of and then some. A 15th century castle keep in rural Scotland, this place is like walking into a real fairy tale.

Borthwick has been home to Oliver Cromwell, as well as being the safe hold for Mary Queen of Scots when she was living in exile. Its fortress holds strong enough that it was even the chosen space to protect Scotland’s national treasures during the Second World War.

Borthwick’s Christmas decorations come with any booking for this time of year.

With exclusive use of the castle for the duration of your stay, beautiful bedrooms, fantastic catering, and a team that’s unparalleled - this venue is pretty much the perfect fairytale location, but with a bit more of a Vogue bend. We can’t recommend Borthwick Castle enough. Take a look at the Christmastime wedding we photographed there below. A wonderfully Scottish ceremony that looks straight out of a fantasy realm.
